First register - this can be done from here or you may like to refer back to our free listings page for more options you can use, choose a username & password for yourself. Then login to your client account using your username and password. Listing is so simple, these instructions aren't necessary, but I have provided them incase you have unanswered questions.
Once you have logged in click on the List an Item for Sale link. This will then take you through the simple 5 step listing process. As a note, you can always go back and edit your listing once you have successfully listed the item for sale. So do not worry if you forgot to add a specific detail in your initial listing process.
Step 1: Category
Here you will choose a main category to list your item under. Many of the categories also have sub- categories which can be more specific to the item you are listing. Select the most appropriate main Category and then sub- category for the item you are listing. Once you have completed this you simply click the continue button to go to step 2.
Step 2: Title and Description
Here you input a Listing title for the item you are listing. You will want to input a title which briefly describes the item you are selling. You may also choose an option Subtitle to give additional information about the item you are listing.
Next you will want to input a detailed description of the item you are selling. We recommend you include as many specific details about the item as you can. You can also enhance the appearance of your listing with the many options available in the listing description section.
Once you have completed all the above simply click on the continue button to proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Pictures and Details
In this section you can choose how you are going to list your item, whether it be an auction listing a buy it now listing or both. You can also choose the duration time for selling your item. Here you can upload pictures of your listing and also choose any of the other features to highlight your listing.
-Choose how you are going to sell your item and for how much
You will need to select to list your item as an auction listing, a buy it now listing or both.
If you choose to list your item as an auction you will need to check the box and then choose an initial price to start the bidding.
If you choose list your item with a buy it now price, you will simply need to select that option and then input the price you are willing to sell the item for.
-Reserve Price and Bid Increment
If you chose to sell the item as an auction, you will also need to select a reserve price for the auction. This is the lowest bid price you will take for the item through the auction listing. If the highest bid price does not meet your reserve price at the end of the auction, there will be no winning bidder. If you choose to not select a reserve price, then the highest bid price at the end of the auction will win the auction. You will also need to choose the bid increment by which potential bidders can raise the bid price of the item listed.
Once you have selected the above, whether selling as an auction or buy it now listing select the duration for which your item will be listed. You also have the option to choose if you want your item listed immediately or select a future date and time to start the listing.
-Location of Your Listing
This will let potential buyers of your item know where the item listed is located. By default this will input your current mailing address you have listed with your account. You will need to change this only if your listing is located somewhere other than the address you have listed with your account.
-Add Pictures
In this section you can choose to load up to 6 pictures of the item you are listing for sale. Simply click on the browse button and then select the picture you want to post with your listing from its location on your computer. All images loaded must be in jpeg format.
-Increase Items Visibility
Here you can select optional extra features available to change how your listing will appear when buyers are searching through items listed.
Once you have completed all the above simply click on the continue button to proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Payment and Shipping
In this section you will choose the payment and shipping options you are going to accept for your listed item.
-Payment Methods:
Here you will choose whether you are going to accept cash or check, or if you are going to allow the buyer to pay with Paypal.
-Sellers Payment Address:
Here you will want to input the payment address where you will accept payment for your listed item. This will only be used when someone either wins your auction item or chooses to buy it now if available.
-Ship to Location (Optional):
Here you will need to select the locations you will ship your listed item too only if you are offering to ship the item listed.
-Shipping Type:
If you are willing to ship the item listed you will need to select an option of how you will determine a shopping cost if you are going to charge to ship the item. If you are not willing to ship the item, then you would want to select the pickup option. Note that you can also put details of shipping options in your listing description.
-Handling Fee:
If you are shipping and are going to charge a handling fee you can input that amount.
-Domestic Handling Time:
Here you can let potential buyers know of the handling time by which you will ship the item to them.
-Sale Tax:
If you are a licensed retailer and required to collect sales tax for sales made within your state. You can select the state you are collecting as well as the tax %.
-Shipping Insurance:
Here you can input an amount for shipping insurance if you choose to offer this.
-Returns Policy:
Here you can input a return policy if you are offering this.
-Payment Instructions:
Here you can put in additional details for how you will accept payment for the item you are listing.
Once you have completed all the above simply click on the continue button to proceed to Step 5.
Step 5: Review and Submit
Here you will be able to preview your listing and continue with posting your listing or go back and edit any of the listing options you chose.
If you are ready to post your listing, scroll down to the bottom of the page. If you are intitled to a free listing the listing system will automatically insert one of your available free listing voucher codes which then waives any listing fees. Simply click on the Apply Voucher Code button on the bottom of the page.You will see the amont you owe become 0.00.
This will then take you to the final listing page where you can click the submit listing button at the bottom of the page which will then post your listing.
